This walled space is garden to the offices of a small company in Kilkenny City. When the offices were developed the garden was redesigned to serve as an outdoor space for staff. However, several years on, the clients were unhappy with the layout, and in particular the planting style which they found dreary and unwelcoming.
The new designs incorporate the existing layout, but inviting access to new seating areas among the planting. Low herbaceous planting was increased, and bulbs added under the willows and near the dining table, to offer seasonal colour and variety. A hand-built Gazebo has since replaced the concrete table. |
