Based loosely on the Medieval Cloister Garden, this rear garden is designed for someone who likes to wander in and out of the ‘yard’ in all moods and seasons - partially covered areas allow for sitting, working, pooching, cooking, making... the enclosed garden is contained and very private, warmed by natural wooden walls. The overhead structures are a combination of textile (awnings), metal and cable, and some woven elements to provide dappled shade. A simple storage area is built into the walls.

A raised boardwalk wraps around a sunken, central planting area, evergreens and a selection of woody herbs for cooking and scent are planted here.

Outline plant list:

Juniperus ‘Sky Rocket’

Hebe 'Green Globe'

Rosemarinus officinalis

Lavandula

Heuchera 'Stormy Seas'

Stipa Gigantea
